On Friday afternoon guests and fans gathered at the Vineyard Hotel in Newlands, Cape Town to meet Australian Masterchef judge, George Calombaris, and see him cook up a storm in real life. With excitement levels running high, guests were welcomed with wine, champagne and canapés at this stunning venue, ready to enjoy a first-hand masterclass experience.
With drinks in hand, everyone took their seats in the intimate venue and awaited his appearance. George and his assistant, Reuben, entertained guests by sharing stories and cooking tips and by demonstrating how to prepare the perfect ‘Prawn Saganaki ouzo Tomato Sauce’ and a delicious ‘Fish Stew’ using his new cookware range.
After each demonstration guests were served with tasters to try the dishes out for themselves, and were given the opportunity to interact with the chefs to ask questions and get some valuable cooking tips. Fans also had the opportunity to see him at the Cape Town Good Food and Wine show over the weekend.
The ‘Greek’ pots and pans cookware range consists of five items, ranging from a saucepan to a casserole pot, and can be bought at @home stores or online. This Greek non-stick cookware is tough and durable, with a multi-layer non-stick coating and a heavy gauge aluminium construction for even and quick heating. The products also come with a 10-year limited warranty and are suitable for all cooktops.
