CITRUS FRESH COCKTAIL: THE TEQUILA GREYHOUND WITH A TWIST OF ROSEMARY

This refreshing cocktail gets a modern twist when it is made with tequila and sweetened with a fresh rosemary syrup.

INGREDIENTS

Rosemary syrup

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

2 large sprigs rosemary

Cocktail

Ice cubes

2 ounces tequila

3 ounces fresh ruby grapefruit juice

1 ounce rosemary syrup to sweeten

METHOD

Rosemary Syrup

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat.

Bring to a boil then allow to simmer until all the sugar has dissolved (1-2 minutes)

Remove pan from heat and allow mixture to cool completely

Remove rosemary stems before serving

Cocktail

Combine cocktail ingredients in a blender. Blend until everything is combined

Moisten the rim of your glass and dip in salt

Pour into glasses

Garnish with fresh sprigs of rosemary and a twirl of grapefruit peel
